Description
A brown glazed ceramic advertising light produced for Whitbread and Co. The plinth-style body features architectural moulding and embossed lettering reading WHITBREAD and CO to the header and ESTD 1742 to the base. A central translucent plastic panel displays the brewery name and BEST MILD branding in green alongside the hind’s head logo. The sides are further embossed with the brewery name and product title. To the reverse, a white plastic backplate is fixed with two thumb screws and carries a printed paper label stating WARNING NOT FOR USE WITH VOLTAGES HIGHER THAN 24 This unit is fitted with a 12V – 6W Lamp Richard Millington and Co. Ltd.

Condition report:
The ceramic body is in good order with a small white scuff to the upper left side edge (photo 2). The central translucent panel shows significant age-related yellowing and discoloration (photo 1). The electrical cord has been cut, leaving bare wires exposed (photo 3); the unit is sold as untested and requires professional rewiring.
