Description
A gemstone bead necklace featuring a central rainbow fluorite pendant carved in a stylized fan or shell form with incised radial lines. The pendant displays characteristic bands of purple and pale green. The strand comprises a variety of round and faceted gemstone beads including purple and green fluorite, light pink quartz, and faceted clear quartz spacers. The necklace is accented with decorative silver bead caps and spacers throughout the length. The metal components show some darkening and wear, particularly to the caps flanking the pendant. The strand terminates in a metal end-crimp and bead.
Condition report:
The necklace is in good used condition. The carved fluorite pendant shows natural internal fractures and inclusions typical of the mineral (photo 3). There is visible tarnish and darkening to the silver metal spacer beads and bead caps (photo 1 and 3). The beadwork appears secure.
