Lot 8:
Description
Two hand-carved wood figurines depicting anthropomorphic teddy bears in rustic attire. The taller figure is carved in a standing posture, featuring a brown body with a darker muzzle and eyes. It is decorated with red overalls over a striped shirt in shades of green and brown. The smaller bear is carved in a seated position, clutching a carved stump or bucket between its legs. This figure wears green overalls over a red and white striped shirt. Both pieces exhibit visible chisel marks and a matte polychrome finish that highlights the natural grain of the wood. The figures are carved with rounded, folk-art features and painted in a muted, earthy palette. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces.
