Description
A high Art Nouveau Silver pill box featuring a rectangular form with a hinged lid and a gilded interior. The lid and base are decorated with embossed repoussé work in a symmetrical whiplash design, incorporating clusters of flowers and fluid organic stems. The interior retains its original gold wash finish. The side of the body and the inner lip of the lid are struck with a series of hallmarks, including the maker’s initials HM, a lion passant, an anchor, and a lowercase date letter b in a shield.
