Description
A vintage Bakelite microphone comprising a circular head on a tiered circular base. The body is constructed from dark brown Bakelite with a metallic gold mesh grille and a matching gold-toned border. The base is decorated with a series of parallel gold-toned vertical lines and bears an adhesive gold label printed with the name GRUNDIG above a three-leaf clover device. The reverse of the microphone casing features concentric circular moulding. It is fitted with a brown fabric-wrapped cord terminating in a silver metal connector. The item is accompanied by its original cardboard retail box which bears a paper label printed in green and red ink. The label reads GRUNDIG ACCESSORY G.C.M.3 MICROPHONE and includes a CHANGE OF ADDRESS notice for works at NEWLANDS PARK, SYDENHAM, LONDON, S.E.26.
