Description
A Japanese black lacquer musical jewelry box modelled in the form of a grand piano. The exterior features a traditional landscape scene depicting Mount Fuji, pagodas, and pine trees, rendered in red and gold paint with mother-of-pearl shell inlays. The hinged lid opens to reveal a pink flocked interior containing a three-part mirror and a plastic ballerina figure in a spotted tutu. A silver fan-shaped lock plate is mounted to the front, and the box is supported by three turned black legs. The lot includes an assortment of jewelry comprising multiple rings, a rhinestone-encrusted bow brooch, beaded necklaces, and various chains. A small metal key is present.
