Description
A late 20th-century table lamp produced by Florence Sculture d’Arte, featuring a figurine designed by Giuseppe Armani titled Elegant Lady with Poodle, model 498CL. The hand-painted cold-cast porcelain figurine depicts a woman in early 20th-century fashion, wearing a wide-brimmed hat with a feather and a tailored suit with a fur-trimmed stole, holding a lead for a white poodle. The figurine is mounted on a tiered circular wooden base with a dark mahogany-style finish. The lamp includes a brass-toned central column and a domed pink fabric shade with braided trim and a tiered fringe of clear and frosted glass beads.
The reverse of the porcelain base features a blue crowned N mark, an incised Giuseppe Armani signature, and a stamped mark reading © 1987 FLORENCE. A gold oval foil label on the wooden base is printed with FLORENCE GIUSEPPE ARMANI. The lamp is fitted with a gold-coloured flex and a European-style two-pin plug.

Condition report:
The porcelain figurine is in good structural condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. Minor surface dust is present in the crevices. The fabric shade shows light discolouration and minor staining commensurate with age. The beaded fringe appears largely intact, though some strands are tangled. Electrical fittings are sold as decorative objects only and must be tested by a qualified electrician before use.
