Description
An Edwardian sterling silver specimen vase of slender trumpet form. The piece features a flared, everted rim with a wavy, undulating edge. The tapered body is supported by a circular spreading base. This is a weighted item with a filled interior for stability. The underside is finished with a dark, textured covering. The base is struck with a full set of English hallmarks. The hallmarks include the maker mark WA for William Aitken, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter g for 1906.

Condition report:
The vase exhibits surface tarnishing and fine scratches consistent with age and use. The weighted base shows significant wear to the under-covering, which is partially missing. No major dents or repairs are visible.
