Description
A Canadian stereo pressing of the 1965 album Rubber Soul by The Beatles, manufactured by Capitol Records-EMI of Canada Limited. This 12-inch vinyl LP features the North American tracklist configuration. The front cover displays the distorted group portrait by Robert Freeman with a vertical yellow banner on the left edge stating NEW IMPROVED FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO. The album title is rendered in bubble lettering at the bottom left. The rear sleeve contains monochrome band photographs and the tracklist. Printed text at the bottom left identifies the manufacturer and provides the address 3109 American Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L4V 1B2, indicating a pressing produced after 1974. The catalogue number SW-2442 is printed on the rear cover above the Capitol logo. Side One tracks comprise I’ve Just Seen A Face, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), You Won’t See Me, Think For Yourself, The Word, and Michelle. Side Two tracks comprise It’s Only Love, Girl, I’m Looking Through You, In My Life, Wait, and Run For Your Life. Production is credited to George Martin with photography by Robert Freeman.
Condition report:
The sleeve is in Good to Very Good condition. There is visible shelf wear and scuffing along all edges, with more pronounced wear and areas of paper loss along the top edge. The corners exhibit bumping and wear to the card stock. The front cover shows light surface creasing and evidence of ring wear. The rear white cover displays general age-related toning and light handling marks. The vinyl record has not been removed from the sleeve for inspection; the playing surfaces and labels have not been assessed for scratches, spindle marks, or audio quality.
