Description
This lot consists of three separate items. The first is a large oval cameo brooch featuring a classical female profile facing left. The relief is intricately carved with wavy hair adorned with flowers and further floral motifs at the shoulder. The cameo is a two-tone composite, presenting a white relief against a dark chocolate-brown ground, held within a yellow metal frame with an ornate, scalloped, and textured border. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal pin stem and a revolving safety clasp. The brooch is housed in a black leatherette presentation box with a white satin and black velvet-lined interior. The second item is a miniature travel condiment set, comprising two diamond-cut clear glass bottles with red screw-on caps. These are held in a white metal carrier with a central handle. The caps are embossed with the branding Doran’s Beverages. The third item is a folding pocket cigar cutter featuring a textured handle made of stag horn or faux-stag material. The cutting mechanism is made of polished white metal and includes an integrated suspension ring for attachment to a watch chain or keyring.
Condition report:
The cameo brooch appears to be in good condition with no visible cracks or chips to the carved surface; the metal frame shows minor surface wear and light oxidation consistent with age. The glass bottles of the condiment set are intact, however, the white metal carrier exhibits significant surface oxidation and tarnish. The pocket cigar cutter is in good vintage condition with the metal components remaining bright, showing only minor surface scratches from previous use.
