Description
A large decorative figurine of a standing elephant, cast in brass. The figure is depicted in an active pose with its trunk raised high in a traditional good luck gesture and its tusks extended forward. It features flared ears and anatomical detailing around the eyes and legs. The surface has a polished yellow-gold metallic appearance with visible areas of natural oxidation and a dark patina in the recessed details, such as the trunk ridges and around the eyes. This item is in the style of mid-to-late 20th-century decorative brassware, a type of export ware commonly produced in regions such as India. No maker’s marks are present on the exterior.
