Description
This lot features a vintage multi-game compendium by Chad Valley and a modern glass chess set. The Chad Valley Games Compendium is presented in a maroon faux-leather carry case with a top handle and brass-toned latches, featuring an orange-tan interior lining and a protective foam insert. The set includes turned wooden chess pieces in light and dark brown, a wooden chess and draughts board, plastic draughts pieces, and various dice including a doubling cube. An instruction sheet for a Games Compendium Shaker Assembly is present, bearing the printed mark of Chad Valley Co Ltd, Borehamwood WD6 1IK, England. The glass chess set consists of clear and frosted glass pieces with a matching glass board, housed in its original retail cardboard box. Additionally, the lot includes a small softwood storage box with a sliding lid containing a quantity of miscellaneous black and white chess pieces.
