Description
A fine porcelain oval collector plate produced by The Bradford Exchange as part of the Wings of Victory series. The plate features a central transfer-printed scene titled The Spitfire by artist Roy Huxley, depicting a Supermarine Spitfire aircraft with identification marks ON B and serial PV303 in flight. The central image is bordered by a cobalt blue band decorated with a gilded laurel leaf wreath and the Royal Air Force wings crest at the base. The artist signature Roy Huxley is printed in the lower-left corner of the artwork. This item is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity identifying it as plate number 6139D from an edition limited to a maximum of 75 firing days. It is housed in the original dark blue presentation box with gold-stamped lettering and logo.
Width: approximately 20-25cm.
Condition report:
The plate is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. The transfer print and gilded elements remain bright and intact. The presentation box and certificate of authenticity show minor signs of shelf wear consistent with age.
