Description
A vintage desktop manual pencil sharpener manufactured by Tombow, Japan, model SR-1000P. The item features a moulded green plastic body with cream-coloured plastic accents. The top of the housing bears a printed label with the Tombow dragonfly logo and the model designation SR-1000P. The front of the sharpener is fitted with an illustrated panel depicting two children in a mid-century style, surrounding the central pencil aperture. A circular decorative floral decal is applied to the side of the green housing. The sharpener is operated by a metal crank handle with a cream-coloured plastic knob and includes a removable translucent dark plastic shavings drawer at the base.

Condition report:
The item is in fair to good vintage condition, showing signs of age and use. The green plastic body exhibits scattered surface scratches, scuffs, and minor white marks. The illustrated front panel shows significant wear, with darkening and loss of detail particularly concentrated around the pencil aperture. The circular floral decal on the side shows age-related fading and wear. The cream-coloured plastic components, including the front bezel and handle knob, show visible age-related yellowing. The shavings drawer and crank handle are present and intact. The handle turns freely, though the unit is mechanically untested for sharpening performance.
