Description
A vintage 12-hole chromatic harmonica by M. Hohner, Germany, identified as The Super Chromonica Model 270. The instrument is constructed with a pearwood comb, brass reed plates, and chrome-plated metal cover plates. The top cover plate features engraved floral scrollwork and is inscribed THE SUPER CHROMONICA CHROMATIC M. HOHNER HARMONICA, with holes numbered 1 through 12. The lot includes the original red and black cardboard box printed with The SUPER CHROMONICA CHROMATIC M. HOHNER HARMONICA MADE IN GERMANY. Also present is a green textured leatherette protective case with a snap closure, stamped in gold with HOHNER-Chromonica 270 MADE IN GERMANY.

Condition report:
The harmonica exhibits signs of age and use, including surface scratches and light pitting to the chrome-plated cover plates. Visible debris and oxidation are present within the mouthpiece holes, and the exposed edges of the brass reed plates show a natural patina. The original cardboard box shows significant wear, including split corners, scuffing, and losses to the paper covering. The green leatherette case is in good condition with minor surface scuffs.
