Description
A Kodak No. 3A Autographic Model C folding roll film camera, manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester, New York. The camera is constructed with a metal body finished in black grained leather, featuring black leather bellows and nickel-plated hardware. It is fitted with an EKC Ball Bearing Shutter, which displays a stylized monogram and a patent date of 18 January 1910. The shutter provides settings for Time, Bulb, and instantaneous speeds of 1/25, 1/50, and 1/100 seconds. The lens assembly is marked with the manufacturer name and a Uniform System aperture scale with increments of 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128. Additional features include a swivelling brilliant viewfinder mounted on the lens standard and an integrated leather carrying handle. A metal plate at the base of the lens standard is inscribed with Eastman Kodak Company Rochester N.Y. U.S.A. This model was originally designed for 122 format roll film to produce postcard-sized negatives. No serial number is visible on the exterior of the casing.

Condition report:
The camera is in poor to fair cosmetic condition. The exterior leather covering shows significant wear, scuffing, and peeling, particularly at the corners and edges. The nickel-plated hardware exhibits visible oxidation and tarnishing. The leather bellows are in poor condition, showing extensive cracking, peeling of the outer layer, and visible holes along the folds. The lens optics contain internal dust and haze, and the viewfinder shows age-related dust. Mechanical functions, including the shutter and bellows extension, have not been tested. The unit is not light-tight and is offered as a historical or decorative artifact.
