Description
An assortment of souvenir and decorative thimbles, primarily constructed from fine bone china and porcelain, with a small selection of metal examples. The ceramic pieces feature transfer-printed decorations depicting various themes including British topographical landmarks such as Stonehenge, Lyme Regis, Edinburgh, Chichester, and York Minster. Other motifs include floral patterns, birds, animals, and commemorative designs, including a thimble with a blue ground and gilded crown emblem and another featuring the ER cypher in a small presentation case. Many ceramic examples are finished with gilded rims. The metal thimbles include silver-toned and brass-toned finishes, some with relief-moulded detailing. Several pieces are marked Made in England. The collection is contained within a two-tier clear plastic storage box.

Condition report:
Sold as a job lot. The majority of items appear to be in good condition; however, some individual pieces show signs of surface wear and at least one ceramic thimble in the foreground is broken.
