Description
This lot comprises a large oval pendant suspended from a silver snake-link chain. The pendant features a polished carnelian agate stone, characterised by concentric banding in shades of orange, red, and translucent cream. The stone is set within a decorative sterling silver mount at the top, featuring scrolled wirework, granulation, and a central fleur-de-lis motif. A small round cabochon light blue stone, possibly moonstone or chalcedony, is set within the silverwork. The pendant is fitted with a wide, fixed bail. The accompanying silver snake-link chain is finished with a shepherd’s hook-style clasp. The reverse of the pendant mount is stamped 925. No hallmarks are visible on the chain.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition. There is visible surface tarnishing and fine scratches to the silver components, particularly on the reverse of the pendant mount, consistent with age and wear. The stones appear to be intact with no major chips or cracks visible.
