Lot 6:
Description
A set of six Danish silver-gilt coffee spoons by Egon Lauridsen. Each spoon features a tapered handle decorated with translucent guilloche enamel in various colours including yellow, white, peach, turquoise, emerald green, and cobalt blue. The base of each enamel panel is finished with a small white enamel stylised leaf motif. The reverse of the bowls displays an engine-turned sunburst pattern beneath the gilding. The spoons are housed in a fitted, double-lidded presentation case with a blue textured exterior and a cream silk and velvet-lined interior. Struck maker’s marks and purity marks are present on the reverse of the stems but are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The silver-gilt surfaces exhibit significant tarnish and dark mottling throughout the bowls and stems. The guilloche enamel appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The presentation case shows external wear and noticeable staining to the silk lining.
