Description
A sterling silver pendant necklace featuring a large, cast pendant in the form of a blooming rose. The pendant is designed with multi-layered, smooth, curved petals and is suspended from a fine silver snake chain. The chain is fitted with a lobster claw clasp. The reverse of the pendant bears several stamped marks: an oval mark containing 925, a rectangular mark containing ITALY, and a set of four British hallmarks. These hallmarks include a sponsor mark AB in a double-lobed shield, a Convention mark depicting balance scales with 925 inside, a rose symbol for the Sheffield Assay Office, and a lowercase letter i within a rounded square shield. The marks indicate the piece was manufactured in Italy and hallmarked in Sheffield in 2008.
