Description
A Swarovski Crystal Society (SCS) lead crystal figurine titled Save Me – The Seals, issued in 1991 as the final part of the Mother and Child series. Designed by Michael Stamey, the piece depicts a mother seal and her pup resting on a frosted crystal ice floe. The bodies of the seals are crafted from multifaceted clear lead crystal, while their eyes and noses are highlighted with small, inset black crystals. The underside of the frosted base features an acid-etched mark including a stylized swan logo, the letters SCS, and the numbers 91. The figurine is accompanied by its original cylindrical cardboard packaging which bears a stylized swan logo and the letters SCS.
Base length: approximately 10.5 cm
Box height: approximately 12.5 cm.
Condition report:
The crystal figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The faceted surfaces retain a high degree of brilliance. The accompanying original cylindrical presentation box shows some minor surface marks, shelf wear, and light soiling consistent with age and storage.
