Description
This lot comprises three collectible teddy bears of varying styles. The first is a Harrods 2001 Christmas Bear, featuring honey-coloured plush and wearing a dark green velvet-style hooded jacket with white faux-fur trim and a gold-tone zipper pull. The right foot pad bears the embroidered inscription Harrods 2001 in gold-coloured thread. The second is a Giorgio Beverly Hills 2002 promotional bear, a golden-brown plush bear wearing a navy blue jacket with gold-toned buttons and embroidered chest detailing. It is housed in its original clear plastic display box with an internal label identifying the maker and year. The third is a jointed vintage-style bear made from curly, light brown mohair-type plush. It features a distinctive open-mouthed design with a visible felt-lined tongue, a hand-stitched nose and mouth, and felt or suedette paw pads. While reminiscent of traditional German or artist-made bears, such as those by Hermann-Coburg, no maker markings are visible on this example.
Condition report:
The Harrods bear is in good condition and retains its original cardboard hang tag. The Giorgio bear appears to be in good, original condition within its packaging. The vintage-style bear shows signs of age-related wear to the plush and paw pads, including a small area of stitching repair on one pad and a red thread remnant around the neck.
