Description
A mid-20th-century vintage portable record player manufactured in France by Teppaz, model Balad’. The unit is designed as a suitcase-style portable phonograph with a textured outer case and a cream-coloured moulded plastic interior. It features a four-speed turntable with a selector for 16, 33, 45, and 78 RPM. The integrated speaker is housed within the lid and connected to the main unit by a grey cable. The control panel includes two black knobs with silver-toned caps for volume and tone adjustment. The unit is fitted with a hard-wired power cord and a two-pin European-style plug. A red and silver-toned Teppaz emblem is located on the right side of the control area, and the model name balad’ is printed on the panel alongside the text MADE IN FRANCE.

Condition report:
The item is in used vintage condition with visible signs of age and handling. There are surface scuffs, marks, and minor scratches on the interior plastic and the outer case. Some discoloration is present on the cream-coloured plastic. The turntable platter and other surfaces show accumulated dust. The item is offered untested for working order.
