Description
A pair of contemporary metal advertising signs featuring vintage-style automotive and motorsport graphics. The first sign is a vertical rectangle depicting the 1961 Isle of Man T.T. Races with a dynamic illustration of a racing motorcyclist on a white and blue bike with the race number 6. It is set against a vibrant orange-red background with text reading 1961 T.T. RACES JUNE 12th, 14th, 16th, For the thrill of your Life – and the Holiday too!, and ISLE OF MAN. The second sign is a horizontal rectangle for Dunlop Tyres, featuring a vintage-style illustration of early 20th-century racing cars with drivers in a rural landscape. It includes the text DUNLOP TYRES in large maroon block letters and FOR MOTORS, CARRIAGES, CYCLES at the base. Both signs are made from printed sheet metal with pre-drilled corner mounting holes.
Isle of Man sign: 40.6 cm x 30.5 cm
Dunlop sign: 30.5 cm x 40.6 cm.
Condition report:
Both items are modern decorative reproductions in good overall condition. Surface wear is present in the form of minor scuffs, light scratches, and small chips to the printed finish, particularly around the edges and pre-drilled mounting holes.
