Lot 133:
Description
This collection of metalware includes two horns and two tapered vessels. The horns are of graduated size and feature a tapered cylindrical form, constructed from sheet copper with stepped brass mouthpieces and flared bells, consistent with English coaching or hunting horn designs. The two shaker tins are of graduated tapered form, appearing to be spun or pressed metal with a copper-toned exterior finish and a bright silver-toned interior lining. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or labels are visible on the exterior surfaces of the items.
Condition report:
All items show significant surface tarnish, oxidation, and a mottled patina consistent with age and use. Minor surface scratches and small indentations are present on the bodies of the items. The copper-toned surfaces exhibit varying degrees of darkening and verdigris.
