Description
A collection of tobacco smoking pipes featuring briar bowls and various decorative stems. One pipe presents a heavily rusticated black exterior with a red band at the junction, showing illegible white characters. Another pipe showcases a dual-textured bowl with a smooth top and rusticated base, fitted with an amber-toned acrylic stem. A further pipe is designed with a black rusticated bowl, a smooth rim and shank, and is accented by a silver-toned metal band. The collection also includes a pipe with a smooth, polished briar bowl displaying distinct grain, paired with a cream-coloured acrylic stem. All pieces show characteristics of briar construction with acrylic or vulcanite mouthpieces.
Condition report:
These are estate pipes showing signs of previous use, including carbonisation within the bowls. Minor surface wear and superficial scratches are visible on the briar and stems. Stems show minor signs of oxidation and tooth chatter consistent with age and handling.
