Description
A vintage Leatherman Super Tool multi-tool, manufactured in Portland, Oregon, USA. This early production model is constructed from stainless steel and features a heavy-duty folding design. Each handle is stamped LEATHERMAN SUPER TOOL and PORTLAND OR, with one handle also bearing the stamp PAT PEND. The plier head pivot is marked LEATHERMAN USA, and the tang of the plain-edge blade features a partial LEATHERMAN USA stamp. The tool is equipped with needle-nose pliers including integrated wire cutters and a hard-wire notch. Internal folding implements include a plain-edge knife blade, a serrated knife blade, a wood and metal file, a Phillips-head screwdriver, three sizes of flathead screwdrivers, an awl/punch, a can and bottle opener, and a lanyard ring. The exterior handles feature stamped ruler scales in both inches and centimetres.
Condition report:
The item is in used, functional condition. There is visible surface wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, and minor areas of dark oxidation and pitting consistent with age and practical utility. The plier jaws show wear from use but remain in correct alignment. All internal implements appear to be present and functional.
