Description
A brass-cased carriage clock retailed by the British jeweller H. Samuel. The item features a corniche-style polished brass case with five bevelled glass panels and a hinged carrying handle. The white enamel dial is inscribed with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals. The hands are finished in black, with a moon-style tip to the hour hand. The mechanical timepiece movement is equipped with a platform lever escapement visible through the top glass aperture. The rear plate of the movement features a regulation lever marked S and F. The clock is accompanied by a double-ended brass winding and setting key, which is stamped with the number 6.
Condition report:
The brass case shows a natural aged patina with surface oxidation and areas of tarnishing. All five glass panels appear to be intact with no significant chips or cracks observed. The movement appears complete but is sold as untested.
