It features a squared handle and a prominent integrated spout. The base displays a backstamp for Crown Devon, S. Fielding and Co. Ltd., Staffordshire, England. The second jug is a novelty item modelled in the shape of a capital letter E representing Worthington E bitter. It is finished in a cobalt blue glaze with white side panels and features a green Wade pdm England mark to the base. The base bears a white printed mark for Halifax Ceramic Ware (HCW), Halifax, UK.

Condition report:

The items are in good overall condition with no visible chips or cracks. There is minor surface shelf wear to the unglazed foot rims. As is common for this type of glazed earthenware, there may be some fine crazing to the glaze visible upon close inspection.
