Description
Two vintage mechanical bedside alarm clocks of varying designs. The first is an animated clock produced in China, featuring a circular light blue painted metal case with a chrome-plated front bezel, splayed feet, and a top ring handle. The white dial is decorated with animated cartoon characters, including a cat and a rabbit, and a cuckoo clock motif positioned at twelve o’clock. The dial is marked with Chinese characters above the six and MADE IN CHINA at the base. This style of animated movement is characteristic of clocks attributed to the Diamond brand. The second clock is a twin-bell model by Equity, featuring a blue painted metal body with a chrome front bezel and two external bells. The blue dial is marked EQUITY TWIN BELL and HONG KONG below the centre. Both pieces are fitted with mechanical wind-up movements with manual winding keys and adjustment knobs on the reverse.
Condition report:
Both clocks exhibit signs of age-related wear including minor scuffs to the painted cases and light pitting or tarnish to the chrome-plated surfaces. Neither clock has been tested for timekeeping accuracy or alarm functionality and they are sold as-is.
