Description
An assortment of vintage and antique collectables and curiosities. The primary group is housed within a rectangular wooden box with a blue velvet-lined interior. Notable items include a miniature The Crusader cricket bat featuring facsimile signatures of players including Len Hutton and Denis Compton, marked MADE IN ENGLAND and EST 1953. Also present is a boxed Belisha card game from the Pepys Series and a vintage paper packet of Wild Woodbine Cigarettes by W.D. and H.O. Wills. The collection further comprises a small brass table bell with an embossed crest, a square travel clock in a dark textured case, and a circular metal perpetual calendar or slide rule. Several pairs of ornate cast metal decorative clasps with foliate motifs are included. Additional items consist of a metal-framed glass display box, a stylized white horse figure, a small leather wallet, a miniature metal oil can, a carved wooden acorn ornament, a small enamelled trinket box, and a metal Egyptian sphinx figurine.
Condition report:
The items show varying degrees of age-related wear. The card boxes and cigarette packet exhibit scuffing and edge wear. Leather components show surface wear and creasing. Metal objects display surface patination and tarnishing consistent with age. The wooden container and glass case appear generally intact with minor external scuffs.
