Description
A large cast metal sculpture of a German Shepherd (Alsatian), modelled in a naturalistic standing pose. The dog is depicted with an alert expression, upright ears, and an open mouth with the tongue visible. The figure is set upon an integrated, textured base designed to represent uneven, rocky ground. The sculpture is finished with a dark, multi-toned patina to simulate bronze. No maker’s marks, foundry stamps, or artist signatures are visible on the exterior of the sculpture or the base.
Length: 34 cm.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good overall condition. There is minor age-related rubbing and wear to the patina on the high points, most notably on the nose and the tips of the ears. No structural damage, cracks, or repairs are evident.
