Description
A vintage Jaguar car mascot of the iconic Leaper design, typically associated with mid-20th-century saloon models such as the Mark I, Mark II, and S-Type. The ornament is cast in base metal with a chrome-plated finish, featuring the stylised form of a leaping jaguar. The piece includes an integral mounting base with two threaded fixing studs, complete with washers and nuts. Traces of a red residue or paint are visible along the spine and head of the figure.
Condition report:
The mascot is offered in worn, as-found condition. The chrome plating displays widespread pitting and loss, particularly on the extremities. The mounting studs and nuts are heavily rusted. There is a red substance adhering to the upper surfaces of the casting.
