Description
A collection of decorative glass scent and perfume bottles of various styles and techniques. The group includes a large, bulbous scent bottle in opaque turquoise glass, featuring a matching spherical glass stopper. Included is an Art Deco style perfume atomiser in black glass with a stepped, architectural form, fitted with a gold-tone metal mount and a black fabric-covered pump bulb with a decorative silk tassel. Also present is a spherical clear glass atomiser featuring an etched floral and foliate design, equipped with a gold-tone mount and a white fabric-covered pump bulb. The collection further contains a clear glass perfume bottle of rectangular form with a fan-shaped glass stopper, resting on its original patterned gold and beige cardboard presentation box. The items demonstrate techniques including blown and moulded glass, with etched decorative elements. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall decorative condition. The stopper of the turquoise bottle is currently protected by plastic wrap. The functionality of the two atomisers has not been tested, and as is common with vintage items, the internal rubber components of the pump bulbs may have degraded over time. The presentation box shows light surface wear and minor scuffing to the edges consistent with age and use. No significant chips or cracks are visible to the glass bodies.
