Description
A collection of assorted folding pocket knives including three Laguiole-style knives and three multi-tool pocket knives. The Laguiole-style knives each feature a single blade, a folding corkscrew, and decorative bolsters. One example has light-grained wooden scales with the blade marked Laguiole and a tang stamp reading 440. A second example features dark wooden scales with a brass bee motif and a blade marked Laguiole with the tang stamp 1421. The third Laguiole-style knife has cream-coloured synthetic scales and brass bolsters. The multi-tool collection includes a red Victorinox Swiss Army knife identified by the cross within a shield logo, a red Wenger Swiss Army knife identified by the cross within a rounded-square logo, and a third multi-tool featuring cream-coloured scales, a main blade, a corkscrew, and a metal lanyard bale.
Approximate blade lengths: 6 cm to 10 cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition with visible signs of age and wear throughout. The Laguiole knife with the dark wooden handle shows significant blade wear and a changed profile from repeated sharpening. All blades exhibit surface scratching, minor pitting, and light oxidation. The synthetic scales on the cream-coloured knives show surface wear and age-related yellowing. The multi-tool components show varying degrees of tension in the folding mechanisms.
