Description
An assortment of vintage headwear including straw hats and leather caps, likely dating from the mid-20th century. One straw hat is designed in a boater-influenced style with a flat crown and brim, finished with a wide black grosgrain ribbon and bow. A second straw hat features a recessed fedora-style crown with a central black button detail and a black grosgrain band. The leather items include a maroon multi-panelled baker boy cap with an elasticated back and red tartan lining, and a black leather aviator-style helmet with ear flaps, metal ventilation grommets, snap-fastened pockets, and an adjustable chin strap with a metal buckle. No maker’s marks or internal labels are visible.
Measurements: Straw hats approximately 28 cm diameter; leather caps approximately 25 cm length.
Condition report:
The items are in varied vintage condition. The leather pieces show age-related surface creasing and patination. The straw hats display light misshaping and minor wear to the brim edges consistent with age and use.
