Description
A diverse collection of items including religious, decorative, and military-themed objects. The group features a cast metal seated Buddha statue in a meditative pose with a dark patina; a wooden Latin crucifix with a metal corpus and INRI plaque; and a stylized modern openwork metal crucifix. Cultural items include a hand-carved wooden bust with facial scarification and a red and white bead necklace, as well as a rectangular metal relief plaque depicting the Last Supper. Decorative pieces comprise a large silver-toned metal fish with detailed scale work; a pair of brass candlesticks with serpent-form stems; a cast metal crocodile figure; a novelty clock housed in a miniature brass-toned diver’s helmet; a glass cube containing copper-toned coins; and various small metal figurines including an owl and a lion. Military and transportation collectibles include a large textured model of a propeller aircraft with a weathered finish and an oval river stone hand-painted with a British RAF fighter plane. Tools and ephemera include a vintage-style hand stamp with a turned wooden handle, several small wood-handled tools, a red and dark-toned leather pouch, and measuring instruments including a wooden folding ruler and a flexible measuring tape.
Measuring tape visible shows markings at 6 inches and between 12 and 14 inches.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits a range of conditions consistent with age and previous use. Metal components show varying degrees of surface oxidation, tarnish, and natural patina. The model airplane has a heavily distressed and weathered surface finish. Wooden items display minor surface wear and abrasions. The painted stone and glass coin cube appear to be in stable condition without significant visible damage.
