Description
A Technofix (Gebrüder Einfalt) clockwork toy motorcycle and integrated rider, manufactured in Germany during the post-WWII occupation period. The toy is constructed from lithographed tinplate. The motorcycle body features an orange and yellow colour scheme with detailed engine lithography. The integrated rider is depicted in a racing crouch, wearing a red jacket with a white ‘2’ on the reverse, blue trousers, and a silver and orange striped helmet with goggles. The piece is equipped with a clockwork mechanism, a side-mounted black stabilizer wheel on the right, and a metal kickstand/flywheel on the left.
Visible markings include the Technofix logo on the front mudguard and G.E.255 on the rear mudguard. The lower frame is marked MADE IN U.S. ZONE GERMANY. The front tyre is lithographed with the METZELER brand name.
Length: 19.7 cm.
Condition report:
Good vintage condition. The lithographed surfaces remain largely bright, with some minor surface scratches and light paint loss consistent with age and play. There is visible surface wear and oxidation (pitting) to the unpainted metal parts, including the handlebars, front fork assembly, and kickstand. The clockwork mechanism has not been tested for functionality; no winding key or original box is included with the lot.
