Description
A pair of antique children’s clogs featuring dark leather uppers secured to thick wooden soles. The leather uppers are attached to the perimeter of the wooden soles using a row of metal studs. Each clog includes a protective metal reinforcement strip riveted across the toe area. The ankle collars are finished with a red fuzzy textile lining, with a cream-coloured lining visible in the interior. The design incorporates metal-reinforced eyelets for lacing. The soles are carved from a single piece of dark-stained wood with a slight heel. No maker’s marks or sizes are visible on the items.
Condition report:
In heavily worn antique condition. The leather uppers exhibit significant cracking, surface loss, and deep creasing. All metal components, including the toe caps and studs, show extensive oxidation and rust. The red textile lining is frayed with noticeable wear and material loss. The interior is discoloured and worn. Laces are absent.
