Description
This collection comprises thirteen vintage fishing reels, a brass spring balance, and a plastic tackle box. The assortment features several notable makers and models, including a Hardy Brothers Uniqua fly reel with a textured side plate and embossed maker marks, and a J.W. Young and Sons Super Condex fly reel. Also included is a Black Demon 2851 fly reel and a large Daiwa Model No. 7700 fixed-spool reel with a red and white label. The remaining fly reels are finished in grey, silver, and brass tones, with some featuring multiple circular perforations on the spool face and others resembling patterns by makers such as Pflueger and Rimfly. The reels are constructed from cast aluminium alloy, brass, and composite materials. Accompanying the reels is a cylindrical brass spring balance and a grey plastic cantilever-style tackle box with a transparent internal lid for small compartments.
Condition report:
The items show typical signs of field use and age-related wear consistent with their nature. Visible conditions include surface oxidation on metal components, loss of paint and finish on the reel bodies, and general accumulated surface dirt. The mechanical functionality and internal condition of the reels are untested and unknown.
