Description
An assortment of vintage table lighters encompassing various mid-20th-century styles and materials. The collection includes multiple silver-toned metal lighters with ornate gadrooned and tiered bases, in the style of the Ronson Queen Anne design. Also present is a blue jasperware lighter with white classical relief decoration in the style of Wedgwood, alongside several lighters with bases carved from green and tan onyx or marble. Other notable pieces include a dark-toned lighter with applied gold-coloured metal foliage, a minimalist black cylindrical example, and a pale green moulded lighter featuring classical motifs in relief. The striker mechanisms are a mix of chrome-plated and gold-toned metals. A wooden ruler is visible in the background for scale.
Measurements:
The lighters range in height from approximately 5 cm to 10 cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in vintage condition with visible signs of use and age. There is widespread tarnish, pitting, and surface oxidation to the metal components, particularly the silver-plated and chrome elements. Minor surface scratches and small nibbles are present on the stone and ceramic bases. The mechanical functionality of the lighters and the presence of flints or fuel has not been verified.
