Description

This lot comprises a diverse collection of items, including a variety of religious devotional objects. Among the religious items are several crucifixes, notably a large wooden example with a metal corpus and an integrated holy water font at the base, and another large wooden cross with deeply carved floral patterns. Also included are multiple smaller crosses and crucifixes in wood and metal. Decorative religious plaques feature a black panel with gilded praying hands and the Greek letters ΠΔ in relief, a framed silver-toned bas-relief of Christ wearing a crown of thorns, a hexagonal marble-effect plaque with a central bronze-toned medallion, and various icon-style wooden panels depicting the Virgin Mary and Child in traditional Byzantine styles.

The collection also contains various vintage tins and boxes, including a red-lithographed Cremona Dairy Cream Toffee tin featuring a bottle illustration and the text with pure cream. There is a black lacquered rectangular box decorated with a gilded bird motif, a large square-topped wooden box, and a long, narrow wooden case. Other miscellaneous items include a ceramic or composition figure of a monk in a brown habit, a silver-toned pig-shaped money box, a green plastic cylindrical money box, a vintage green metal fishing reel with red handles, and a heavy black metal base, likely from a vintage flat iron. A small decorative metal model of the Eiffel Tower is also present.

Condition report:

The items are in varied vintage condition. Metal components, particularly the toffee tin, show surface wear, oxidation, and scratches consistent with age. Wooden items exhibit some surface scuffs and marks. The religious icons and plaques appear generally well-preserved with some minor edge wear. The monk figurine and other ceramic/plastic items appear intact. Overall, the lot shows signs of use and storage typical for items of this nature.
