Description
A die-cast model vehicle manufactured by Dinky Toys, representing Joe’s Car from the Gerry Anderson television series Joe 90. The model features a die-cast metal body finished in metallic peacock blue with white-edged plastic wings. It is detailed with twin chrome-effect plastic engines, a translucent red plastic rear exhaust component, and a grey plastic undercarriage with black plastic tyres. The base is embossed with the following text: MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN, JOE 90, JOE’S CAR, S.V.C., DINKY TOYS, MADE UNDER LICENSE, CENTURY 21 PRODS. LTD. 1968. The model was designed with a battery-operated flashing engine light and a mechanical folding wing and undercarriage feature.
Length: Approximately 16 cm.
Condition report:
This model is in play-worn condition with significant paint chipping and losses to the metallic blue finish, particularly on the nose, wing edges, and raised surfaces. The item is incomplete, missing the Joe 90 pilot figure and the battery compartment cover from the underside. The electrical mechanism is untested, and there is no original box or packaging present.
