Description
A maritime-style gimballed desk clock, in the style of those produced by manufacturers such as Linden or Danbury. The clock is housed in a square wooden case with a dark mahogany-tone finish, featuring a glazed aperture in the lid for viewing while closed. The clock assembly is secured within a circular brass-toned porthole-style bezel with six decorative screw heads and is mounted on a swivel gimbal mechanism. The white dial is printed with black Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and the word QUARTZ above the VI position. It is fitted with black spade-style hour and minute hands and a red sweep seconds hand. The interior of the box is fitted with brass-toned hinges and twin stay arms to support the lid.

Box: approximately 8cm x 8cm.
Condition report:
The wooden case displays various surface scuffs, small indentations, and wear to the finish on the corners and edges. The brass-toned components show light signs of age and tarnishing. The glass is free from cracks. The quartz movement has not been tested for functionality.
