Description
This lot comprises two scale model engines The first model represents George Stephenson’s Rocket locomotive, featuring a brass-finished boiler with a side nameplate reading ROCKET. The construction includes a tall brass chimney, inclined cylinders, large front spoked wheels, and smaller trailing wheels. The second model is a horse-drawn steam fire engine, characteristic of the FE1 pattern. It features a red-painted chassis, a vertical brass boiler, and a black-finished cylindrical tank. Details include a driver’s seat with red upholstery, spoked wheels, a steering wheel, and various brass-finished valves and fittings. Both models are composed of brass and painted metal components and appear to be designed for live-steam operation.

Condition report:
Both models are in good overall condition with some minor surface tarnishing and oxidisation present on the brass components. There is light surface wear to the red-painted areas and black-finished components. Both items appear to be complete in terms of major external parts but are missing original packaging,
