Lot 14:
Description
This lot comprises three pairs of designer sunglasses from Ray-Ban and Prada. The first pair is a classic Ray-Ban Aviator model from the Bausch & Lomb era, featuring gold-tone metal frames with a double bridge and dark green or grey lenses. It is accompanied by a brown grained faux-leather soft case featuring a gold-coloured Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban seal. The second pair is by Prada, model SPR 02E 2AU-3N1, designed in a rectangular wrap-around style with dark tortoiseshell acetate frames and dark brown lenses. The interior arms are marked with the model number and Made in Italy. These are housed in a black Prada hard case. The third pair is a Ray-Ban semi-rimless Clubmaster-style model, featuring tortoiseshell-effect brow bars, silver-tone metal rims, and pink mirrored lenses with the maker’s script logo to the upper left lens. They are presented in a black Ray-Ban hard case with a grey flocked interior.
Prada case: 16.5 cm wide
Ray-Ban hard case: 15 cm wide
Ray-Ban soft case: 16 cm wide.
Condition report:
The Ray-Ban Aviators are in good used condition; the associated soft case shows some wear and loss of gilding to the front seal. The Prada sunglasses show light surface handling marks; however, the black hard case exhibits significant peeling and surface degradation to the exterior finish. The pink-lensed Ray-Ban sunglasses are in good used condition with minor signs of handling and surface dust.
