Description
A commemorative scale model of the Gold State Coach, produced by Crescent Toy to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. The set features a gold-toned model of the Royal State Coach pulled by eight white horses. The procession includes four postillion riders on the horses and a collection of footmen and attendants in traditional red state livery. The figures and horses are constructed from painted plastic, while the coach features a metallic gold finish. The entire assembly is mounted on a textured grey rectangular base. The model is housed under a clear plastic display dome. A gold-toned plaque on the front of the base is embossed with the words Royal State Coach. The top of the clear cover features a decal with a crown emblem, the year 1977, and a banner reading THE QUEEN S SILVER JUBILEE.
Length: approximately 19 inches (48 cm).
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. The paintwork on the figures and horses remains bright and largely intact. The gold-toned finish on the coach is well-preserved. The clear plastic display dome shows light surface scuffing and dust accumulation consistent with age and storage.
