Description
This lot comprises a diverse assortment of vintage antiques, household curiosities, and ceramics. The ceramic selection includes a white porcelain commemorative mug featuring the royal cypher E R beneath a crown, a lidded white porcelain trinket dish with transfer-printed floral decoration in a blue presentation box, and a group of three cherub figurines on a textured circular base. Also included are a small white porcelain vase with a floral branch design, several small porcelain dishes with transfer-printed fruit and floral motifs, and a ceramic dog figurine. Horological and scientific instruments include an oval-framed quartz wall clock with a floral dial and a wall-mounted wooden weather station containing an aneroid barometer, thermometer, and hygrometer. Kitchenalia and ephemera include a vintage Spong manual meat mincer in its original worn packaging, a packet of Golden Shred marmalade labels, vintage beverage coasters, and a quantity of miscellaneous matchbox labels. Further items include a set of small floral-decorated glasses, an etched glass bell, a single vintage white leather child’s shoe, a model motor car on a wooden plinth, and an assortment of mixed costume jewellery including beaded necklaces. All items are contained within a large, aged, canvas-covered vintage trunk with wooden slats and metal reinforcements.
Condition report:
The items are in varied, used condition throughout. The trunk shows heavy wear, including scuffing to the canvas exterior and internal damage. The original cardboard packaging for the Spong mincer is significantly worn and torn. Most individual items, including the ceramics and glassware, appear generally intact with some surface grime and minor age-related wear consistent with age and use. Sold as a mixed lot.
