Lot 33:
Description
A spherical glass desk clock, often referred to as a bubble or crystal ball clock, featuring a heavy two-part glass casing joined by a central brass-finish metal band. The off-white dial is marked with the Omega symbol and OMEGA, along with the inscriptions Made in Switzerland since 1775 and SWISS MADE. The dial features black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer rail-track minute ring, and two decorative sub-dials. It is fitted with ornate black-finished spade and whip-style hands. The top of the case is equipped with a fluted winding crown and a circular brass-tone suspension loop. A mechanical movement with visible brass-coloured gears and pink jewels is housed within the glass sphere, visible from the rear.
Condition report:
The clock displays minor surface wear and some tarnishing to the brass-tone metal finish. The glass casing has light surface scratches consistent with use. The movement is untested and the working order is not guaranteed.
