Description
Two Continental porcelain figurines consisting of a bisque putto supporting a cornucopia and a seated glazed cherub, joined by a twisted blue and grey textile cord. The first figurine features a matte bisque-finished putto kneeling beside a glazed cornucopia decorated in pale blue and white with applied porcelain flowers and gilt-dot detailing. This piece is marked to the base with an underglaze blue mark resembling a stylized letter ‘Y’ and an incised number ‘108’. The second figurine is a fully glazed seated cherub with polychrome painted highlights to the wings and a light blue loincloth, bearing an underglaze blue crowned ‘N’ mark to the base in the style of Capodimonte.
Length of cornucopia figure: approximately 18 cm
Height of seated cherub: approximately 10 cm.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There are some minor, typical losses to the delicate petals of the applied floral decoration on the cornucopia. No other obvious chips, cracks, or repairs are visible.
